Love Hunter was formed in 1990 by singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Kelvin Fischer. After the power ballad "Lonely Night"" and the heart pounding melodic rocker "Waiting for Me,” received extensive radio airplay and subsequent interest from Atlantic Records. The first single, Love Hunter / Lonely Night was released with "Waiting for Me", on the B side.
Focusing on writing and producing the first album, Live events and showcases would be minimal with the exception of opening for classic rock, guitar hero Rick Derringer in 1992.
With the help of a handful of dedicated musicians, and several South Florida studios, including Miami's historic Criteria Recording Studio, the debut CD Love Hunter was released December 21, 1997. Love Hunter achieved worldwide acclaim, fueled by the songs: "In My Heart You'll Stay", "All I Want Is You", "You Gotta Love It", "You Took A Piece Of My Heart", "Hold on to Yesterday", and the opening six minute, epic, self titled track, "Love Hunter.”
The next chapter of Love Hunter, ushered in a new era of acoustic performances, while chiseling out new versions and compositions, during the 1999 Sidewalk Tour and the 2000 Cyber Dog Tour. A few of these arrangements; "Twenty Eight Days", "Evil Has No Reason,” "Never Say Never" and a Live acoustic version of "You Gotta Love It,” would appear on the 2008 remastered compilation of the debut CD titled, Kelvin Fischer / Love Hunter.
On September 15, 2011 the Love Hunter Drawn to the Light Concert Tour kicked off in south Florida at the Promenade Center for the Arts Theatre. Celebrating the arrival of the double album, Love Hunter / Drawn to the Light, described as "a melodic masterpiece" by Classic Rock Presents AOR Magazine.
Drawn to the Light, features new favorites: "Now That You're Gone", "Lucy's Alright", "In God's Eyes", "What's Left", " Prison of Love", "Shenandoah Wind" and "The Destination" as well as unplugged, acoustic versions of some of the best of Love Hunter. The album concludes with the bonus tracks, "The Penguin Song" and "No Lies No Goodbyes" introduced by a lovable sort and self proclaimed, motivational manager, Martin J. Hedgemore.
The following decade would be filled with many Live performances in a variety of venues, as well as the addition of vocalist, percussionist Shelly Salter in the Winter of 2012.
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Love Hunter, a collection of Live concert footage and music videos were chronicled for the release of the DVD Love Hunter / Drawn to the Light LIVE in 2015. The Live footage was recorded in Fort Lauderdale, FL Fort Myers, FL Miami, FL and Nashville, TN.
In 2016 Love Hunter played to their largest crowds to date, at the iHeart Radio Summer Concert Series in Port Charlotte, FL and again in 2019 at the Southwest Florida Event Center.
